I've seen a lot of posts, especially from Lake Travis, about treasure hunting on dives. Of course many of these posts seem to indicate the typical things expected to be found down in a lake like sunglasses, keys, beer cans, etc. I'm curious as to some of the other things recovered in the local lakes, and what the most valuable thing fou d might be? Could it simply be a $500 pare of sunglasses? Jewelry? Dive gear like a camera that simply got lost? Let's hear it. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who might be interested in this.

80.00 cash (Comal River) & Chanel Sunglasses -200.00 avg price on ebay (Lake Travis)

and... most valuable:
The ladder from the Giant Stride :D

A full regulator setup 1st & 2nd stage ect. I found it under the debris pile at the bottom of the Valhalla Missile Silo.

I got it back to the original owner. He had given it up as being long gone and he was quite pleased. :D

That ladder is worth it's weight in gold.

The most unusual item found during a charter was a Blackberry at Starnes Island. After four days of drying it was turned on, the owner was found and the phone returned. The owner wrote a article for the Austin American Statesman and offered a charitable donation to Brian, the diver, who refused to accept a reward.
