I'm a Fish!
Jesse (15 year old son) is covered with Mosquito Bites. He was outside in the backyard tonight. He came in and is bit everywhere!

I had him wash his face and legs with soap and water. Is there anything else that works?
Thx!

Only thing I can think of is antihistamine, which can be applied orally and topically.

I don't have either one. I'm going to try Apple Cider Vinegar on a cotton ball.
What do you think?

I've never really tried this on mosquito bites, but on fire ant bites, I use Colgate regular flavor toothpaste. Works fantasically! I don't know why it wouldn't work on mosquito bites, as well.

You could go to the grocery store?

You might try vinegar. It works on no-see-um bites.

Do you have any Benedryl capsules? They are over the counter and can be bought in the grocery store. It will stop the itching.

BTW...Welcome to Texas! :mean: You've been lucky. The mosquitos are usually like this all summer long!

I was at the store already once tonight.
Anyway, the vinegar seems to have taken the redness out of the ones on his face.
He had no shirt on, was in a Jacuzzi, and has big red ones on his back. Texas size alright! (Everything is bigger here)

I have three kinds of toothpaste I'll try that.
He is ready to kill me of course.
And wants me to leave him alone.
Ah, the joys of being a mother to a 15 year old boy!

Try Calamine Lotion, or the Hydrocotozone cream(spelling might be off) or if there is a Chinese grocery store, ask them for "Tiger Balm Oil" They comes in a six sided container(like the Carmex lip balm). Works good for us here in Malaysia.

...you're not supposed to just sit there and let them feast on you. NO jacuzzi dip is worth it!
