I got this response yesterday in another forum:

As of Tuesday, there was alarge opening in the ice of the swimming area.
The holes left by divers in the main area had not frozen over.
Visibility was excellent throughout and water temps where still unchanged at37F and decreasing closer to the ice.

I would not have risked walking over the ice without my dry suit on.

It was also from a Montreal diver :)

Thanks!

Do you know what the temp is?

41F from top to bottom :)

getting there...

So you had fun?

No... sorry, miscommunication...

Just meant that the temp is moving in the right direction...

I decided last fall that a 42F dive was just a smidge too cold for my wetsuit. I'm looking for 45+
