Morrison conditions

Hello,

My neighbor and I are considering a trip to Morrison this week. Is there a web site that gives current conditions or perhaps one of you can fill me in. Also, can one still rent a wet suit there if needed? I have not been to Morrison in a long time (almost 20 years) and I know there have been lots of changes since then.

Sorry to tell you that Morrisons all though much improved no longer has any diver support services. The closest place to get gear, air, etc. Is Vortex Springs (Just down the road). As for Morrisons conditions the only real way to tell is to go and look but the flood stage indicators are a good indication as to how the viz will be. And I know from reading posts here recently that the viz is bad there right now, unless you are in the Cavern which is always clean.

MRXRAY answered most of this for you. You can check the river gauge here Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service: Tallahassee: Choctawhatchee River at Caryville
Under 8 feet on the Carryville gauge is normally O.K. to dive.
