JJ was not crazy for diving sharks cove at all!!!
We took divers out on Thursday and Friday. Divers that take the plunge during the few oportunities to dive the cove in the winter are usually blessed with good vis and whale songs during the dives. Crisp temp at 70-72 deg but worth it!!!
Here are a few more pics from Friday

'really like the turtle under the sunburst..
did the tako ink anyone?
(i've seen 'em pre-emptively ink a buddy multiple times..
and all he was doing was looking at it.. scary lookin' buddy tho')
i need to learn how to make those bubble rings..
(what's the technique?)

yeah, any suggestions for the bubble ring deal?!? I've been trying for ever and mine still look like :p.
I love the turtle picture! I would die to be in your fins for that shot!!!
back in september I did some diving with friends and whe heard whales our whole trip. I love that sound!!!!
Good on ya mate

I agree with the others. The turtle shot is classic with the sunburst above it. Very nice.

Wish I could get out there too.

I thought you where nuts the other night when you told me you were diving Shark's Cove the other night, looks like you had some nice diving.

mddolson:
Takes a little practice.

1) take a large breath
2) look straight up, (lying on your back helps)
3) keep mouth closed
4) puff up your cheeks (gently not a lot of pressure)
5) release lips into round circular shape.

The way I describe this to a newby is "like your making a cork popping sound"..
alter tension in your cheeks and size of opening till you get it just right.

thanks for doing the search for us lisa :eyebrow:

i tried it today!
and out of a dozen attempts.. i was able to make a couple "perfect" rings..
(tho' due to the surge.. they broke apart halfway to the surface)
the rest of the rings i sent up were formed by many small bubbles in a ring..
instead of one big ring shaped bubble.. i need to practice more :11:

it's funny (not) how you gotta remember to save a little breath
to purge your reg when you put it back in..
(or press the purge button.. durr )

Been doing this long V?

i've actually only had to use the purge button a couple times..
(the rare occasion when my reg breaths wet after smiling at the tourist sub upside down )
so.. i'm used to just pushing part of a breath through to clear it..
therefore.. for me.. the purge button is a last resort..
