More E-PL1 practice

using the kit 14-42 with Zen WA100 and (2) S&S YS-27DX strobes...ISO 100 - 1/160 - F8-F11

was supposed to leave but trip got pushed back so i got a dive in...lots of crap in the water since we just had 2 typhoons pass.

Nice shots, that E-PL1 looks to be working well for you. These shots make me wish I had the money to get the Zen dome before my trip in a couple weeks, it looks like even with the kit 14-42mm lens it's a very flexible setup.

i am finding that it's a lot more capable than people make it sound when comparing to the E-PL2-3 and E-PM1...the kit lens is not bad and the zoom works pretty well. i was gonna get a 14-42II but i think i'll just save the $$$ and either get a 9-18 or a 45mm for macro. i am no longer in a hurry to house my E-PM1 ....

Yeah, I don't think they've made any huge changes between models. I'd probably go for the 9-18 too. I hope to do the same but need to get the dome first. And if you aren't in a rush you can keep an eye out for any deals that may come along.

hopefully, when i get back from my trip, i have a 9-18 waiting for me and i will try some big sea fans.....and hopefully, some bigger animals

Using the right lens will really make the shot. Getting a wide-angle or macro lens will make a huge difference. FYI, the E-PM1 will focus must faster than the E-PL1 for behavior shots. - Scott
