Monterey or SF Dive Center

Well, I finally talked my work into sending me out Nor-Cal for a work conference. & Screw the conference, I wanna dive!

Any suggestions of dive shops to go through? I've always assumed I'd want to drive down to Monterey, but is there any where else I should probably dive instead? Anybody else going to the Java One Conference and wants to dive together?

Monterey would be a good choice.
