Monk seal forehead contact?

Just how common is this, coming in and touching the divers forehead, not attempting to bite it, in the case of monk seals? I had this happen twice over 20 minute interval on a single dive off Lehua afew days ago. I'll upload photos of the encounter when I can. Thank you

Just before the first contact. I got the impressions from locals this sort of behavior was unknown. I have heard of a couple other similar contacts via the net however. Have others seen or heard of this sort of thing? Thank you!

I've heard of it from that spot. I have no idea what it means.
