Today Reefman and myself decided to go diving. My original plan was Alligator but fortunately we decided to do Molasses. Probably the best fish life I have ever witnessed. Groupers of all types in the dozens.
Horeseyed jacks(50-100) cleaning themselves off the multiple reef sharks. Carib reef sharks coming in so close that at one time I considered using my camera to push it away
Marbled grouper that was as inquisitive as my dogs
Viz was not good 30-45 feet, water temp 83, no current and a pleasant one foot sea
Nice manatee at the dock.
The bad, we saw one lionfish and somehow I have fishing line and leaders wrapped around my prop.

Looks like a great dive with a lot of variety. What is the yellow and light blue fish with a few prominent teeth showing?

30 feet of vis local for me would be amazing :)

Spanish hog fish

Great shots! The conditions look stellar. Next year we are scheduling later in June!

Over 2000 dives in Florida and I have still never seen a marbled grouper yet.
Glad you guys got out before the crazyness this weekend.
