Hi,
I have just a few days in September to look for mola mola again. Time is to short to take the boat to Nusa Lembongan. Are there also sights around Padangbai where you can sea mola mola? What is the best place for daytrips to Nusa Penida?
Cheers,
Liberty

I stayed in Sanur & went to Crystal Bay during full moon / new moon. At one time I saw 9 of them. You need to go to the epicenter to maximize your chances.

I would stay in either Padang Bai or Lembongan. iIt is easy to get from PB to sites off Bali where Molas can be seen too and it only takes a little longer on get to get to Crystal Bay than it does from Nusa Lembongan. I personally would not recommend staying in Sanur for a dive trip because I'm not keen on sitting in traffic on my holidays ! It s a nice place with a lively beach but too far from the diving.

The diving off PB is really nice and is excellent in Lembongan.

Well, I would go to Lembongan again, but it is a time issue. I can get to Padangbai easily the same night I arrive in Bali.
Any recommendations on where to stay in Padangbai?
Cheers,
Liberty

Absolute Scuba and Padang Bai Beach Resort, I found very very good. OK nearby is bery beautiful but seemed very very busy. The food there is better than PBBR but the was nothing wrong with PBBR food.

We stayed at OK Divers and loved it. Great accommodations, restaurant, and top notch dive operation.

Which one is closer to a clean beach - OK or PBBR?

Both are on the strip. OK is just at the corner where the pier is. Absolute a few min walk from the pier.

In Pandang Bai and Lembongan there is a chance to see Molas Ramsayi. In Indonesia we dont see the Mola Mola. Both are from the same family Mola,
