I have a Sony TRV830 with an Ikelite housing. I've taken about 6 hours of video with it and am very happy with the results - except I have a hard time with the viewfinder. It's practially impossible to swim along with your mask against the viewfinder and holding the unit at arm's length makes it difficult to know if the subject is centered. Has anyone tried to add an external (or internal) LCD monitor to one of these housings? If Ilkelite would add this as an option, they'd have a great value-priced system.

Thanks

Flipping the camera's LCD over and around is one of Ikelite's suggestions from their manual. But that requires that you look through the side of the housing when filming. I've seen some housings that use an angled mirror to make this work - but not Ikelite. Seems to me that until I learn to swim sideways like a crab, that won't work any better than the viewfinder. Thanks for the input!
