your first deco bottle should be MOD marked for EAN50. Tech 1 teaches u to deco on 50%. O2 use is only incorporated in Tech 2

Not saying you don't know a lot more about it than I do but my GUE Tech 1 card says, ... oxygen decompression, nitrox.
 
Deco tanks are sized to the dive but the dives are limited by conditions. In general open ocean dives should have a limited total run time, I think the recoumended time is around 90 miniets. For a dive of this type 40 cf tanks are more than enough. For cave dives it may take 80's or several 80's to complete decompression.

The ocean dives are limited to account for changing conditions, it is expected that divers will be mindful that the ocean can and does change its mood on a wim.
