MOD is NOT earnest!!! Why? There are LIES, LIES and LIES on the MOD web pages.
Look at the page:
http://www.men-of-diving.com/Canister-Lamp-Bundles/VivaX-Pro-90-Focus-LiFe/flypage.tpl.html
There is information: 3x LED, battery 9Ah, 12V, burning time 7.5 hours, Luminous flux 1100lm.

Now we can calculate:
9Ah x 12V * 80% ballast efficiency = 86.4Wh in LED
86.4Wh / 1A / 7.5hours / 3pcs LED = 3.84W per LED

Total luminous flux of best 4w LEDs is approximatly 220lm@1A
220lm x 3pcs LED = 660lm This luminous flux is a maximum we can get 3pcs of 4W LED.
NOT 1100lm !!!!

Next LIES information is, that luminous flux equal to 120 Watt halogen!!!
True is that 1100lm equal to approximatly 50-60W halogen NOT 120W halogen!!!

Result for VivaX Pro 90 Focus LiFe is:
Max. luminous flux = 660lm equal to approx. 30W halogen

Thank you for your calculations. It's nice to have accurate numbers.

One question just for my own sake of interest. Do you happen to work for Ryston?

R..

Dear Sirs,
sorry but i have to replay to this calculations.
YOU ARE COMPLETE WRONG!
At first... we dont use any ballast.... we have LED not HID.
12V:1A=12W.. so you can calculate by your self 12W * 106 lm per Watt 1272 Lumen
second... the best LED you can buy at the moment on the market produce 106 lm per Watt
Next... Lumen doesnt count for Divers... the only amount that count for divers is Lux....
Lux shows the Viewer how bright the Light is if he illuminate something, Lumen is a amount that you can only measure at a Labor or with very spacial equipment.
We can produce with a LED that have a small amount of Lumen more Light with one that have more Lumen. Why? The Secret is the Reflector or the Lense, if you have a bad lense you have a bad light.
We do not LIE!!!!!
We can make a test if you want, we meet each other and buy a Luxmeter the you will see if you light is brighter or the one from MOD, if your Light is brighter i give you 500$ Cash.

Or... buy a Luxmeter and measure you Light how many Lux you have! Send the people here Pictures where they can see this.

We Test all our Systems, I can prove this! You also?

BTW: The next Generation of LED Produce 500lm per single LED.... and brightnes of 45000 Lux thats more than a 35HID can produce. And we have the first Prototype!

Best Regards J.Frank

Sorry, but in your words i see the near to Tilly.
You tell the same nonsense.
You should learn at first the basics of the physics.

You are absolutely right. They really lie. My friend owns a vivax 60 focus life and they stated on their website the burning time with 5 hours and he gets almost 7 hours.
They really should tell the truth!!

Yeah, and that's why your company MBSub is almost out of business while tillytec increases their sales. :dork2:

@Michael
I can Visit you at the Boot2011 when you are there and we make a test wich light is brighter.:cool2:
But i know the result.....

He has to be a visitor again like last year, because I don't see MBSub on the exhibitor list at the Boot 2010 again. Same like last year.
TillyTec is there, but no MBSub. :idk:
