Amazing shots! where were they taken?

Very cool!

So is a mobula sort of a small manta?

Thank you Jim and Wayfarer2. The mobulas were from Cocos Island, Costa Rica, the mantas from Isla Benedicto, Revillagigedos, Mexico. ++Ken++

Thanks, Chantal. Yes, they are closely related, but different species. Mobulas are smaller, often travel in large schools. Shape of cephalic fins is different. ++Ken++

Your usual awesome shots, Ken. I love the Grace of rays of all sorts. I think most people are amazed by them, but don't realize they're cousins of Sharks. Maybe Sharks wouldn't get such a bad rap if they did.

More great stuff !!!

A couple of questions - what was the viz (it looks great, but a WA lens gives a false impression) and which camera / lens ?
