The dump valve on my Mobby's dry suit has been leaking on and off and I have been messing with it by taking it apart rinsing, soaking it overnight and assembling it back together several times. The valve has a clear round piece of plastic that can be mounted either at the back or the front of the valve. I tried to mount it on the front like this first:

but it kept leaking, then I moved the clear plastic ring to the back, but it did not solve the problem and during my last dive on Sunday the valve came loose and a lot of water flusehed inside my left arm. It became un-screwed and my buddy was able to fix it while we floating in the water.

Now I am wondering if I am have had screwed the valve up by taking it apart and re-assembling it so often...

What is the right way to screw that ring of clear plastic?

Is the valve 'toasted'?

Clear inside. Other outside probably reversed.
