Anyone up for hitting the water on monday? I can't think of a better way to pay tribute to the late great Dr. Martin Luther King than by diving in the frigid, snow-encrusted North Atlantic.

We were planning to go but the marine forecast was not pretty so we called it. I would have expected the vis to be awful considering the conditions over the last few days as well. Anyone get out there yesterday?

I heard thru the grapevine that vis was 30'+ on the Pug Wreck on Sunday. I was unable to go, as I was busy playing with my new kitten :)

Yea, the weather was kicking up on sunday but still ok in the morning [we were back on the dock by 2:00]. They were calling gale warnings and seas kicking up to 5-7. The bouy sunday morning was reading 3 ft w/ 3.6 sec periods and gusts up to 30 knots.

I just looked at the harbor bouy, and I don't think anyone would have had a chance in hell of getting out yesterday... 10-12 foot seas.

And yes... the vis on the pug wreck was superb. I was bummed that I left my camera in my car since it was a waste the previous weekend.

I heard the dive on the Pug Sun was good. You gotta love the vis advantages with boat dives. I gotta get the coordinates for that site.

So PD...do you do any diving?

Soggy....it would appear that you are tempting fate by adopting a black cat....;-)

Nah, didn't go. I didn't get any response from the board so I bailed. Unless I throw money down for a charter or I have poeple waiting for me, it's reeeal tough for me to motivate on my own at this time of the year.

Although.......if anyone's up for an afternoon dive on Sunday.......
