Hello, I am considering converting my yoke to a din and see scuba pro has a coversion kit. What I was wondering is if that is done will it void the warrantee and the prefered parts status? Also If I do the conversion myself will that void the warrantee.

Thanks

The reg can be either DIN or Yoke and the connection has nothing to do with the warranty as long as you use the actual ScubaPro conversion kit. I believe it technically is supposed to be installed by a certified technician, but how would anyone know who did the actual installation?

It is a simple change, all you need is something to hold it (soft jaw vise) and a torque wrench with long-ish Allen key heads. The nut on the yoke is going to need a custom socket (thin walled) to remove it. Depending on condition, you may need to replace the o-ring (not included with the conversion) that goes on the retainer.

As to warranty, who knows what shenanigans may come out of that. Somehow I think SP is trying to find anything to kick folks out of FPFL (lets not go there in this thread).....

If you are due for service, and don't have the tools, maybe your tech will swap it out then (see if they will beat/match the price you can get it on-line).

I use a giant adjustable wrench chucked up in my vise. Works like a charm for removing the yoke setup. DIN is so worth it.

I just bought a new MK25, and all they at the shop was a yoke one. They took it in the back and converted it to DIN. And they said that it did not affect the warrenty. So if they can do it......
