Getting ready to convert a MK10 from yoke to DIN. I have a modified socket to remove the yoke nut and I have a SP DIN conversion kit. My search here and on YT only revealed that I need to make sure I remove the conversion kit filter retainer to get to the hex fitting to tighten the assembly to the reg body. The conversion kit has two o-rings. Where do they go and should they be greased? I assume the torque settings are 4-5 Nm for the filter retainer and 30-32 Nm for the DIN assembly against the body. Anything else?

yes, yes and yes
lightly greased
5Nm, 30Nm
(Edit: I would prefer to go for 4, but the lowest on my tq. wrench is 5😅)

orings go in pos. 7 & 10 in schematics

I'm planning to convert my MK25 from Yoke to DIN also. Where did you buy the conversion kit ? I've seen it here and it seems it's the same for all SP firsts.

Yes that one, it’s universally compatible with all SP 1sts

Except, MK 5 and earliest MK 2
Oh good to know that — shame I had an mk5 yoke I was hoping to convert (well I got enough DIN ones so not so bad)

Is that because of the saddle on the mk5? Or is it because of something else?

I remember there was an mk10 (could have been the plus) service manual that was discussing some differences between older and newer DIN connectors — any relation there?

I believe it the depth and the sealing difference, newer stuff uses an oring on the tip of the DIN (same one on the yoke nut) rather than the threaded area. This is from memory.

Thanks for the schematic!

Yes, I bought mine from Amazon. And thank you @Mobulai for the schematic. That was easy!
