Corently he's in Egipt, but when he comes back I'll ask him for some more info in English or Slovene. There are some 5 units corently used in Slovenia, but only he has CCR version. Price for basic unit is about 2500 EUR.
 
I have dove / instructed on the MK 15.5 and SMS1600 (MK w/PRISM electronics). I currently dive a PRISM.

The Mk has high WOB compared to many other, it's the nature of design of back mount C/L's. My orginal choice was directly part of being NAVY tested, like you state 15 plus years of service.. Although parts are expensive for the most part. The rig is durable, o2/dil manual injections not a big fan of location, however this is personal preference. I agree that this type of rig is not the best for dealing with floods, but can be managed. The rig has been a workhorse for myself prior to myself switching units.

Allot comes down to personal preference, you should try to demo all types to determine whats best for you.

regarding US NAVY testing, below link has 2 test reports. PRISM, Steam Machines Inc. Is US Navy tested.
