Domenico Puccioni, 60, lived in Santa Maria Navarrese: yesterday he went out on a fishing trip which proved fatal.

At 1:05 PM today, the lifeless body of Domenico Puccioni, 60, the diver who had been missing since yesterday evening, Friday, August 8th, was found near Capo Montesantu, on the coast of Baunei.

The body was located by a Coast Guard helicopter, which arrived to augment the service of the Olbia Coast Guard personnel, who are responsible for the area, and their colleagues from the Arbatax Coast Guard.

The remains of the sixty-year-old were transferred to the port of Arbatax, where the family proceeded with the dramatic identification.

Puccioni, originally from Baunei and resident in Santa Maria Navarrese, an expert in spearfishing and avid hunting, may have died after falling ill during a dive.

He leaves behind a wife and three children.
