#Cozumel. - Mexican Air Force (FAM) pilots, assigned to Military Air Base (BAM) No. 4, are joining the search for foreign diver, Greg Rome, 71, reported missing.

According to the information gathered, the person who filed the report is Paulina Alba of the "Deep Exposure" dive shop, who described the foreign diver as traveling on a boat with five people.

The boat set sail at 10:00 a.m. Saturday 15-March toward the "San Juan" reef on the island's north coast, and at 12:15 p.m., he was reported missing.

Following the report, a FAM aircraft took off to conduct reconnaissance over the area and provide coordinates in case the aforementioned missing diver is sighted.

High winds were reported and divers from another boat that was on the site earlier in the day reported strong currents.

*Greg ROMES. There was a gathering / celebration of life for him here in Cozumel last night, so I think it's safe to assume the search has been called off. My sympathies to all who knew him (as a number of my local friends here did).
