Hello. My father, my brother, and I are going on a trip to Destin this Summer in June. We are looking for information on the Miss Louise wreck. We are wondering if anyone could give us some feedback on the coordinates, how far off from shore it is, and any other information you might have about it. We are also trying to find some relatively close reefs to dive.
Thanks for any help

her coordinates are listed in this page (it's like the 35th or 36th entry down the list).

she's a steel tug and i believe not too far from shore (maybe three miles?) i've heard these guys are good; you might want to call
them for some first-hand info:

DeLoche book says "A 95ft Tug placed down in 58ft of water. The Tug has a profile of 15ft."

Coords are N30 22.301 W86 25.290 (deloche)
OR
N30 22.286 W86 25.316 (marine fisheries)

There are some barges and ARs near there too. You might pick up DeLoachs Guide to underwater Florida. Great info.

The Miss Louise is a towboat about three miles off the beach and east of the pass; she is usually used for training dives. There is a good size debris field because a hurricane knocked the pilot house off her a couple of years ago. The last time I dove her she was sitting upright. The visibility is usually poor because she is so close to shore. That being said I have found octos and many tropical fish around her. Destin is really known for its reefs (more like rock ledges that jut out of the sand) and Panama City is where you want to go for wrecks (about an hour drive). If you want good vis and unspoiled reefs you have to head a ways off shore.

In Destin Scuba Tech is a good outfit and lasted the longest of any charters I know of. I use to use them quite a bit.

I forgot to mention there are a bunch of artificial reefs made from bridge rubble close to the pass, those are usually teeming with fish and every now and then you will see a Black Tip or Bull shark.
