Speaking of the Minolta SLR, can this camera be housed in a watertight cover so that it could be used for underwater photography? If so where can I buy such an animal? I have a ton of different lenses for it.

They have lots of old Ikelite housings on Ebay. Most of them are interchangeable with various cameras. I've used an old Minolta in a few of them with minor control rod adjustments. Actually, that's what I'm using now.
