The car ferry is always one of the best dives in the Milwaukee area. It's at the edge of recreational depths (90' - 120') and sometimes has some light currents on it that are mostly a pain because they can drop visibility into the 20' range. The wreck itself is terrific - an easy swim around for those who don't go inside, some easy swim-ins for beginning wreck divers and some other areas that are extremely advanced - so everyone gets something to do.

The Milwaukee is my newest favorite wreck. I was on it a few weeks ago and the vis was 70+ - amazing. You could see the pilot house from the bow. (There is a line from the wreck to the pilot house, which tells you what the vis has been in the past)

Wish I could join you, but I'm diving off the Enterprise that day.

Hey Steve - what are you "free at last" of??? :)

I've withdrawn my Oath of Fealty to the Lord of the Manse and surrendered my coat of arms, and have resumed my former life as a lovable (if curmudgeonly) knight-errant. Free to joust with dragons, dance with trolls and rescue maidens, when and as it suits me. :D

I was supposed to dive her last Thursday but got rained out. I'll be at the quarry with a class on Sunday otherwise I'd love to.

Well, bully to you!

Just don't ask me to dance, OK?

:D
