Looking to go diving this weekend and need a buddy. Anyone going Saturday AM?

Chris

Chris,

I’m going with a few other divers early Saturday morning. We are planning to meet a little after seven at the Virginia Scuba Shop http://www.vascuba.com/, which is only a few minutes from Millbrook. At this point, we are just planning to fiddle with equipment configuration and scrape some of the rust off, but your welcome to join us.

If your intrested PM me for the details.

Mike

P.S. I've heard that the water is still very cold. The weather forecast is for highs in the seventies though, which isn't bad.

Looking at the weather report. Past 10am should be no rain, gotta wait till 2pm to get warm air temps. But I'm sure wife will be making me go earlier then that.

Least I'm diving. I'll PM you and see whats up.

Visibility 10-15 feet and the water was 43 degrees at the platform. It was overcast all morning making things even darker. We just hung around the platform for about 30 minutes. I was diving with a CLX-450 and Andy’s US 200 underwear and toasty warm for the most part. The only thing that got cold was my left hand for some reason.

I tried the new DC dry glove system and it worked great. The only viable installation option on the CLX-450 is without the inner wrist seal, as the rings will not fit through the arms of the drysuit, which are made of non-stretchable fabric.

I also liked the new heavy Fred-T plate and weighted single tank adaptor, the rig felt a lot more stable. I didn’t like the weight belt, which wanted to fall off; I think I’m going to investigate either a weight harness or going back to the ACB pockets.

Next weekend I’m going to Lake Rawlings that hopefully has better visibility and is warmer.
