I think that the apeks flight may come in pink too.... supposed to be the lightest reg out there.

Yes it does, although must say IMO the Flight feels and looks kinda cheap, the AL Mikron IMO looks and feels a little better...I have used a mikron and it beathes great I have no breathing experience with the Flight although the owner on a LDS has used one and said it breathes fine but he didnt like the way the reg floated when not in mouth, neutrally buoyant, and also bubble inteference was of course more noticable than a standard sized reg.

....the desire to not have my 2nd-stages be 'too floaty' is why I upgraded all my primary 2nd-stage reg hoses to the Atomic Aquatics swivel hoses and NOT MIFLEX, although I upgraded all the other LP hoses to MIFLEX.

Yes, with the Flight I believe its "floaty" nature is due to the combination of both the Flights weight AND the Miflex. I have all Miflex, inflator, LPs and HP on my Apeks rig and have not had this problem Im thinking due to the relative heavyness of the XTXs?. I use a 22" backup and 40" primary hose and like this set up a lot. I have read from some that the longer 7' can be "floaty" especially when using a scooter?. YMMV. Cheers.

I use all Miflex for all my rigs - including the travel rig which is a Mikron and I haven't experienced any "floaty" feeling. However, I do use a short 22" hose for my backup and a 5' for my primary which by nature doesn't tend to float anyway.
