What has happened to midweek nonstop flights from nyc area to Gcm? Looking at May ‘26 and there is only a cayman airways flight that arrives 6 pm, too late to get to Brac or LC. If I have to do a flight with a stop looks like my choice is delta through Atlanta or American through Miami.

Both options are about the same whether I start in NYC or Hartford so for us Hartford is much better. My question now is what is better - flying through Atlanta or Miami, two airports I avoid whenever possible. I have a return flight so my problem is the flight down. Looking to make a 2:45 pm flight to Brac.

How short a connection time is doable in either Miama or Atlanta to make the flight and with checked bags. Some flights are as tight as 45 mins. No point making the flight if our checked bags don’t.

Also how tight can we make it in Gcm for the flight to Brac? We have a 2:45 flight to Brac. There is an AA flight with a 2 hr layover in Miami that arrives Gcm 1 pm. I am thinking that should be plenty of time on a Thursday arrival.

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

United flies to GCM via IAH — I’m doing that in November to fly on a Friday and take an early Saturday flight to Brac. Take a look at United to see if their schedule might work for you.

Thanks. Trying to get it done in a day. United doesn’t look promising.

For me, I want at least 1.25 hrs in either of those airports, and prefer 1.5+.

If you’re talking a Wednesday, AA out of BDL looks like your best choice. I, personally, like the 6:14-1:00 with 2h 40ms in CLT. However, the 5:59-12:45 gives you access to decent empanadas with the 2h 45ms in MIA, plus a little more overall cushion. I’m not seeing the other flights

All that being said, both of those will probably change by May. Go for the one that suites you best now, being prepared to change it later.

By the way, vis at FW last Friday was TERRIBLE! Probably 5-6’ but so much particulate that only 1.5-2’ was viable. Thumbed the dive 12.5 minutes in.

Thanks. Your ft w vis is similar to what I had. I think I made it to 25 minutes but it was a snowstorm
