10:00 - noon Delaware Special Management Zone (SMZ) Request

  • Review and approve options for designation of Delaware artificial reefs in the EEZ
  • Schedule public hearings for Delaware SMZ request

Here is an opportunity to show solidarity with our neighbor to the south in their bid to protect their artificial reefs in federal waters as they are protected in their own. A large showing of support by New Jersey for Delaware will be remembered when we apply for the same protection for our reefs. Please take the time to attend and show your support. If you cannot attend, please make an effort to write a note to the Council on this issue when it is open for public comment.
