I'm a fossil of a diver, and aspiring diver for fossils.

I started in the sport in 1964, went pro from 1969 through 1978, when I took to the sky. I've recently returned to the fold and struggle to divide my pitiably short spare time between hang gliding, 2th hunting and family. The balance of my time is a purgatory of software development.

I live and work a half block from the beach in Venice, FL. And I'd like to meet some divin' buddies who are not my financial dependents. ;)

Welcome to the board.

A bunch of us were at Venice beach this weekend. Whenever you want to go out, give me a yell. Whenever I'm not diving somewhere else, I like to hit VB for fossils as well.

Software developer, eh? That makes two of us.

More'n two, I'd wager.

Thanks for the invite. I'll be watching for reports and posts regarding Venice.

Perhaps folks could gather sometime predive at the Cockpit Cafe at the Venice airport. See http://100dollarhamburger.com/vnc2.html Or, is there another favorite local haunt?

Hey Michael, welcome to SB great place to meet new non finacial dependant dive buddies. And what is this tooth hunting thing? Ive heard others talk about it, are they worth something?

Thanks to all for the welcoming words.

El Orans: I primarily use the old meat computer, and the english language. When coding is required, it's the MicroSoft language deJour. These days that's .NET

dlndavid: Teeth le Shark. The more you find, the more you look. Not worth a lotta money. Obsession, not profession. You can find them all around the world, if you look. Florida is a very good place to look.
