My husband and I will be in Miami at the end of this month for a long weekend. We want to do some diving but I'm kind of overwhelmed with the choices...not only how many dive shops there are, but how many dive sites there are.

Can anyone recommend a dive shop in Miami?

What kind of dive sites should we check out?

We are both OW-certified and have about 30 dives in our logs. Last time we dove was end of Sept. in San Diego.

Thanks in advance!:D

Hi M!
Which dates will you be coming to Miami? We do private diving groups in the Riviera Maya and in South Florida. Let me know if interested! We should be available at the end of the month.
We hope we get to dive with you!

i think you need to decide if you wanna see wrecks or reefs in particular... some of the wrecks the charters prefer AOW due to the depth or difficulty but there are plenty of sites just for OW.
the Biscayne memorial reef is worth diving -- its a shallow dive and you'll get to say you dove a graveyard designed to look like Atlantis. I know RJ goes there, not sure who else. check out Gold Coast's Meetup site (yes i know the shop is north of miami - but you can talk to them and either get suggestions for a dive or Steve can setup a meetup for the day(s) you wanna dive and then you'll have other people to dive with (at least a few of us are on here) --- my diving is on hold until my back is better. You can also give Scuba_Jenny a PM if you want a dive guide to show you details you might miss otherwise. Just following her tends to improve skills by watching  Since she does photography as well - maybe can do photos of your dives of both of you.

Key Largo is also an option depending on how far south/north in miami you are staying.
