I don't use air integrated computers and don't have a way to test this transmitter at home, it is possible a new battery will be needed.

I've sold a few MH8A transmitters here over the past few years right around this price and everyone seemed happy with the purchase.
But don't know much about them and so perhaps my current listing is a lesser version based on age or other factors?

If comparing the transmitter I listed for sale with the version shown in attached photo, are they both considered "old one"?

I have an older one and a middle aged one (the new new one being the Swift)

#1 it is an old one.

#2 Old ones work but...

#3 Not as well as the newer ones. This older version uses 4x watch batteries vs a cr2 battery. As a result the battery life is very poor, requiring frequent battery changes (monthly) vs the once a year change with the newer versions.

The one with the chrome is an early generation model. The other one with the black screws is more current. I have both types, they work fine. The price is very reasonable. If I needed another I'd buy it.

I put a 1/2AA battery AKA XL-050F in my old one and it works perfectly. The battery lasts years, I can't recall when I last replaced it. The only caveat is they can be difficult to find especially in more rural areas. Best to keep a spare on hand.

Thanks for the information. The transmitter I have listed for sale has 3.6v 1/2 AA battery installed.
A a photo of the battery has been added to the listing to avoid confusion.
