Too deep for me at this time. Although there is nothing special about this wreck that would make an interesting dive. The Etruria would be worth it though. We ran over them a few weeks after NOAA found them.

Here is a short video of the Etruria bow. I had a leaking glove and a light arm that came loose so there is too much movement and a short dive due to a really cold hand.

For my money, the Merrick was a better dive. She is a really pretty schooner. I do want to get to the Etruria stern, and spend a little more time on the bow, but given the fact that she is upside down it's kinda hard to see everything.

People think that because a wreck is turtled that there is nothing to see. When you review hours and hours of footage taken from a wreck site, you see things the divers don't or passed over. We saw divers pass over bells that they didn't even see. There is capstan on the bow of the Etruria that no one investigated. Also her focsle and her Texas is explorable. Her stern would also be interesting, I have not seen any video of that.

Hmmm, interesting. There isn't a lot of space between the lake bottom and the ships deck. Given the fact that it's pretty dark and you can only see what you are able to illuminate it would be easy to miss stuff. Plus when I'm behind a video camera it's even easier to miss things. I'll have to have another good look. Would love to see some images of her for better direction.

That was great video. More in depth than what was filmed prior to this. I see now what a tight squeeze it would be in order to get into her Texas and down the hallway to the pilothouse. From my knowledge of this particular wreck, there is no way to get into the focsle from the cargo hold. If you dive her again look at the capstan on the bow and see if her plate is still there. Also her masts should be in and around there with a bell and lantern. Has anyone dove the stern?

There has been a couple of dives on the stern, but not much info reported. Makes me wonder and want to get there.
