Mexico best scubaboard for cenote dives.

Almost on vacations and quickly thinking off diving in cenote, and also visit Mexico.
I don't know much about this destination and cave diving, but my girlfr. has received good advices about Bay Principe or Dreams or Barcelo, it seems she will be able to remain peaceful in the beach or swimming pool while I dive with the guys -DC- at the resort.

But I have some doubts, which DC could be best for a cave cert.? Does anybody have any advice? I mean, which Dive Center is best -of the ones above- for a cave certification? Which cenotes are closer?

We've done cenotes out of Puerto Aventuras with Dive Aventuras. Ask for Mario, he knows all the good places.

It's unclear to me whether you want to do tours or do a cave class.

Most of the cenotes are within about an hour and half's drive south of Playa (to a few minutes south of Tulum). There is a limited number of cenotes that are used for cavern tours, but there are several. When booking tours, make sure the tour company follows the voluntary rules -- guide in full cave gear, at least OWSI, Full Cave, everybody with lights, no more than 4 divers to a guide. I have seen these rules broken rather seriously.

For cave instruction, I would recommend Dennis Weeks of Aquanauts (he's Pez de Diablo on this board) or Steve Bogaerts. I've known Dennis for several years and my husband has done guided cave diving with him, and he's good people. Friends of mind trained with Steve, and they are well-trained cave divers and they really like him.

It is for cave training, I good like to get a certification. I think, Mexico could be the appropiate place, couldn't it?

I would like to get a Cave diving certification, just for my CV.

I have received some good critics about Bahia divers at BPrincipe, and Diablo divers. Are they able to issue the certification?

Dennis Weeks, who I mentioned above, is Diablo Divers, and yes, he is an instructor through full cave. Patrick, what is your native language -- it doesn't appear to be English, and you may be able to find an instructor who teaches in it down there. It's a pretty international community.

Well, finding instructors who teach in Spanish wouldn't be hard, but it would be Mexican Spanish and quite different from what you are used to, I think!
