Yeah, we had to run back to the car right after that was taken. That's from Caspersen Beach near Venice, Florida. I go down there fairly often to dive for fossils, and the weather is some of the most volatile I've ever seen. Here's a more benign shot from Venice Beach:

By the way, if you're ever down there, go see the Clyde Butcher studio in Venice. Mr. Butcher shoots black and white with an 11x14 camera and makes 5x8 foot prints that are simply spectacular. When I was there last month, some friends (?) convinced them that I was some kind of big shot and they let me into the darkroom to watch some prints being made. Quite an experience. See www.clydebutcher.com Great stuff. -Clay

I tried to post a url to the dunes shot, but it defaulted back to the selections on the unlimited edition prints page. Anyway, I encourage everybody to take a look at Clyde Butcher's photos. I wish I could have afforded more than a book! -Clay

Jcsgt:
Wonderful pics, Darnold. I especially like the nudis.
Thanks, the first two are tiny, less than half an inch end to end, and I found it really really hard to get something that small in focus. Was very pleased with the results though, was worth the effort. Love the colours.

Fantastic colors, I just love the hermit crab.

That last picture just says it all. What a hard life you Hawaiians have.

I hope these aren't TOO big... but I had to keep them somewhat large, for good viewing.

We went on a hike with SB Member KeyLargoBrent - who was in Breckenridge for a short visit...
