At this time of year, sections of the city are carpeted with the bright yellow and occasionally pink petals of the Poui tree.

My headmaster at High school, used to say when the Poui trees turn yellow it's time to prepare for exams...

I posted these on the Palau thread(s), but I'm quite proud of a couple...

Yes, I just like attention...

Comments appreciated.

Fantastic Larry, great range, great subjects, great technique. The mandarin is perfect, the jelly should be on a book cover. Great job, ++Ken++

Lovely photos, jam. No cpl? Is it time consuming to do it in PS?

@ larry: wonderful photos. that jelly fish photo is a killer. mag cover worthy.

I was bored yesterday so decided to travel north of SF to Point Reyes to see what was out there to shoot. I left San Jose in shorts and tees and had to change into a fleece sweater and slacks as it was cold and windy at Point Reyes. Good thing I usually bring a change of clothes when I travel.

I definitely need to go back as I was there in the afternoon and couldn't get a decent photo of the lighthouse. The drive back through highway 1 was awesome (would have been better if I was driving sportscar instead of a minivan). Thanks for looking.
