The spoonbill was a fairly rare sighting in the area, and it was so pale that I didn't recognize it for what it was until it landed, which began an hour of sneaking my bateau through hyacinth to get close. Here's another spoony taken at Lake Martin, LA showing the mature color. -Clay

as much as I would love to have the 18-200 vr, I think I'll just go ahead and get the 70-300 vr. I need that extra 100mm for races and I need that vr when shooting above 70mm (not very steady handsclgsamson:but before that I need some hot lenses first, a 18-200mm VR and 105 VR . All Nikons, of course![]()
