St Mary's can be done from a kayak or even a shore dive if you time the tides right. There are more terrestrial fossils in the rivers too. Offshore is predominantly marine.
Jet Lag does a good job, I would here them and the Ledge Tender on the radio all the time when I was diving up that way. Spearit and Tortuga used to do them too.
 
Austin, where in Loudoun county are you? I live over in Berryville when I'm not on my boat.... I was one of those boats next to you...the large s/f set up for diving.

I'm in Ashburn in process of relocating to Leesburg. Are you one of the commercial guys out there on the ledge?
