Mauritius North - dive operator

I am going to spend two weeks in Mauritius in Hotel Hibiscus (Pereybere) around Easter.

I have not made any arrangements for diving. Can you recommend a dive operator? Which are the best dive sites? One dive operator offers a "shark-safari". Can you still see sharks there?

Should I book a dive package in avance?

I'm not a specialist on Mauritius so I can't answer all your questions, but given where you're staying I would recommend Blue Water Diving which is located in Trou Aux Biches, about a 15 min drive south of Pereybere. They are an independent club and unlike most clubs on Mauritius not attached to a hotel.

You will be close to the Club Med in Grand Baie (just a few minutes away) and they have Eurodivers on site which is a worldwide operation so standards are good ad service is great. Ask for Fadi or Letitia when you book and tell them that Mavric from South Africa referred you to them-they are good people who manage EUrodivers in Mauritius.
