I was going to add on a night dive with Extended Horizons in Maui. I was just seeing if anyone out there has gone with them before on the night dive to see if it is worth it. I think it is just a shore night dive.

My company is have an event in Maui in a couple of weeks and I wasn't invited. Life is so unfair.:D

Night Diving on Maui can be awesome. I don't know what they charge at E.H. but a great night dive can be priceless! I have made hundreds of night dives from shore and never had a bad one. When in May are you thinking of going?

You can never go wrong with a night dive!

I'd like to add my opinion that I think night dives are great!!!

Yes life must be tough diving in Maui. Never dove with anyone except Ed Robinson's in Maui. They are a CLASS act. Sure you will have fun.

Always go to the Undercurrent Chapbook or website to check others experiences with dive operations.

I talked with Chris and Pearl from Pacific Paradise Divers in Oahu (they occasionally post on the board) earlier this month and asked for a recommendation out of Lahaina. They had good things to say about Extended Horizons. I'm going to try EH out when I hit Maui in May based on their recommendations. I have done Robinson's and Severin's and both are very good, thought we'd stay west of Lahaina this time though.

Night dives are great!

Have fun!

I've gone on a couple of night dives with Extended Horizons, although they were 3 or 4 years ago. One was an entry on the north/golf course side of Black Rock, then drifting & swimming south to the beach and getting out by the Sheraton pool.

The other dive was just me and one DM and I chose to do Mala wharf. Saw a cusk eel -- both the first and only time ever for me.

I strongly recommend Extended Horizons if you are in West Maui. Good people, good divers.

Night dives are definitely worth doing. Lots of different critters will be out feeding at night.
