Made the trip to Maui for my 18th anniversary of my 21st birtday. Did a lot of hiking, drove the road to Hana, jumped of waterfalls and oh yeah, a bit if diving.

Jim (Gilligan) was nice enough to take me along on a kyak dive to the lesser known spots and we had great conditions and no trades to fight on the way back. I took over 1500 pictures topside and below. Here are a few highlights.

Cool photos. I had to leave Maui yesterday. I hate that.

Jim's a great guy.

Yeah, we were there for 10 days and definetly not ready to leave. Had a great time though.:D

We got 4 weeks in this trip. We also had a great time.

Next trip is in Jan but then again it's our last vacation there. Then it's full time on that particular rock :)

Nice!

Thanks for sharing a few of your photos, Terry. That dwarf moray looks like a painted tube sock. I guess that means he looks like a sockpuppet! ;)

Awesome pics, Terry. Looks like you had some great dives. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pics, Terry! They make me more anxious.

Teresa and I are going to Maui in Jan. Any suggestions? We are staying at a condo in Kihei.I am excited, this will be our first time to the Islands.

I used Pro Divers for my boat dives. Smaller operation. Great crew, clean boat. Their boat is rated for 12 divers but they only take 6 so there is plenty of room to move around and gear up. Fast boat gets you to the dive site quick. They are "lead by DM" dives but really all that means is that you stay where he/she can see you. What I liked best is unlike some operations where when the air hog of the group determines bottom time, they just bring them back to the mooring and continue diving.

For shore dives. DIVE BLACK ROCK in Kahalui. Do it during the morning and then....come back and do it at night. It's like an aquarium there. If you have non-divers with you, its a fantastic snorkeling spot.

Any other questions you can email me about.

Regards

Terry
