Just wondering if useing a product like RainX on the exterior of a mask, and useing their anti fog product on the interior a sound practice?

Dunno. I think the main ingredient in RainX is glycerine (sp?). I normally just use 500PSI, which is sold in most shops. Also, if its a new mask, make sure to scrub is real good with toothpaste and a toothbrush. The procedure as it was explained to me is:

1. Smear toothpaste all over the inside of the glass on the mask
2. Scrub the inside glass like a madman for a long long time.
3. If you feel like you've scrubbed enough, repeat step 2 a few more times.
:D

Will try that, as long as no one later says Ice9 must be on drugs.
Thanks for the info.
I also understand that useing toothpaste on a scratched CD , DVD will also get rid of the scratches.
Appreciate it.

no need for any product

take mask (after initial toothpaste thing after purchase)
rinse in ocean
spit and smear on inside of glass
rinse in ocean
wear fog free and dive

in 10 years the only person ive seen use product are the tourists ;)

cheers and enjoy

Ice9 is correct. You would want to buy the white paste, ex: Colgate.

Toothpaste is a very mild abrasive. It is like a scratch remover compound that you
would use on your car. I had a scratch on my glasses. Used toothpaste and it removed it.

There are a thousand uses, you just got 2. Let me know if you come up with some more.:D

I wish I could rinse it in the ocean, perhaps in the not so distant future.

don't rub it in!

got a friend in Esperance, and am thinking that I might check that out some day, may the gods be with me?, and more money!
not sure what the diving might be like there, but I so seriously need to get out of Ohio, and considering the leadership in this country, I should probably try to get out all together.
