When I did the research on the U-1105 last summer I got on a mailing list for the Maryland Historical Society- they're having a "Workshop in Archaeology" soon.

http://www.marylandhistoricaltrust.net/workshop.html

Thought some folks might be interested in a couple of the sessions:
*Shipwrecks form 1779 to 1944: Projects of the U.S. Naval Historical Center's Underwater Archeology Branch, Claire Peachey. Projects of the US Naval Historical Center’s Underwater Archaeology Branch, Claire Peachey. Claire Peachey will provide an update on several projects of the US Navy Naval Historical Center Underwater Archaeology Branch, including the 1779 Penobscot Expedition sites, Civil War wrecks HL Hunley, USS Housatonic and CSS Alabama, and D-Day wrecks off Normandy, France.

*“Hard Hat” Diving in Underwater Archeology, J.B. Pelletier & Dave Woodard. More and more underwater archeologists are utilizing specialized technologies originating in military, commercial, and geophysical organizations. After an introduction to the use of helmet diving, participants will have the opportunity to try on the equipment, complete with radio communications.
