I marked mine with a yellow paint pen, still didn't slow down the theft of ONE fin. :-(

I use this goop: http://www.idmygear.co.uk/ it is like colored silicon and since it is flexible and stretches it works really good on wetsuits, masks, fins etc. You squeeze it out of the little bottle directly onto the item so writing is a bit cramped and available colors are screaming 80's but works well for labeling name/email etc.

So far the best I have seen was something a friend had made. He had a garment shop get ten inch lengths of half inch red webbing and embroidered his name and a dive flag in white stitching. The first two inches above the name/diveflag were folded over in a loop with two redundant brass snaps so it can be attached to anything large like BC/bag etc. Very sharp and easy to spot on the drying rack.

I used the tool grip goop from rustoleam on my jet fins, applied with a small foam brush, cannary yellow. 50 dives later and still hanging in there.

I labeled my fins left and right with a white "grease pen" tire marker. Noone else has a "L" and "R" pair of fins and it always serves as a good conversation starter.
