Mark all threads read?

What exactly does it do? Can it be turned on and off and how? I click it and one minute I see 3 pages of new threads, then I click on new posts and I clicked Mark all threads read from the quick links it changed to 3 new threads. How do I get it back to the way it was?

It's not reversible. However, once you click it, it considers all threads to be "old" to you. The only threads you will see on the "New Posts" will be those appended to AFTER you have clicked it.
