On vacation in Cali for multiple location dive trip. Decided on Marissa's Charter in San Diego. Got to the location of the dive charter about 1/2 early, and found out that they had moved a couple weeks prior. The old location had a general idea of where they had moved, but no certain location. Verified on their web page that morning there address, there was no indication they had moved. Wife found the boat after walking up and down several marina areas. No one was there. Tried calling the charter, and no answer. Tried for two hours. No answer. Went back to original location, they told us she spends a lot of time on Facebook. checked Facebook, she was in Mexico, not Cali. After several frustrating hours, went back to the hotel. Wife decide to check her email. We had received an email, some time after 5 p.m. stating there wasn't enough people for the boat to go out so they were canceling, and to please respond to let them know we had received the email. Of course we were on vacation and were not checking our email, so we never responded. They never attempted to try and call and notify us that it was cancelled. Additionally, but the time we received the email, even if we had checked for it, it was too late to try and find another charter to go out on. We never did receive a phone call, even after the numerous voice mails we had left.

I would not rely on this company at all for your future dive needs.

We went out for a lobster dive on the Marissa last night. While the phone/email communications could be a little better, there were directions to the new boat address with the confirmation email that I got when I paid online.
The trip was great fun, although I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. First dive was around 85-90 feet, second was shallower. Currents and waves were pretty strong.
Crew was great. Pleasant, helpful and very knowledgable. Just don't expect a Caribbean style guided dive.

They were great when I have been with them. Too bad you had problems. They are a bit different than dive charters in some locations so calling ahead and understanding what to expect is helpful for everyone.
