I worry a bit there has been more dynamite fishing happening without as many eyes on the water.

Been living here for 2.5 years now and it's hit and miss. Some areas are good, others have taken a hit on marine life due to a lot more locals taking to fishing for an income / food source due to the lack tourism and income it provided - you could call it overfishing. We've cut free about 10 huge "ghost" nets recently, some of them caught up on the tourist dive sites which are supposed to be net free zones for fishing.
