Marine Bio book on Kindle?

I am looking for a GOOD Marine Bio book (most likely a text book) that is offered on Kindle. I have the 2002 edition of the Castro "Marine Biology" textbook and I have been reading it, but frankly I think it sux -- I got it from my school's Bio teacher a while back and it seems written for a high school audience, which, I guess it is.

Most textbooks are really expensive, and not much cheaper on Kindle, but I would be willing to pay for it if I were sure it would be good.

Any suggestions, please let me know.

Look for an earlier edition of whatever part of marine biology you're interested in. When I was taking classes we had a marine bio overview class that talked a lot about stuff like salinity, currents, oxygen saturation, etc. Then there were separate classes for marine invertebrates, vertebrates, and botany. You might have better luck narrowing your search.

I see that you are currently located in Bali so this may not work for you, but my local library system offers an eLibrary. I just need to log in with my library card number and PIN. The eLibrary includes a section on Science eReference via Cengage Learning and the Gale Virtual Reference Library.

You can view a large selection of books on your topic of interest and download some items for free. It's a great service.

Perhaps you can use similar eLibrary sites to review the available texts and find a book that will work for you before wasting the time and money.
