Hey all...new guy to the forum here. How many of you have the Mares v32 or v16 first stages? I just got the v32 & a v16 for my wife. I love mine. I'm just curious to see what others think of it.

Dueducs,

You may not get many responses on this topic as a lot of people on this board are APEKS and ScubaPro enthusiasts. Between my son and I we have ScubaPro, Apeks, Sherwood and Mares regs (he is a tec diver and instructor).

I use my Mares Abyss and V16 regs and love them. They breath really easy and dry at any recreational depth and in any position. They travel well due to the size and are still rugged enough to take punishment.

Works great for me. Have a great time with yours. Enjoy!

I have a MR22 Abyss and a v16 backup. Both of them are very good regs. The V32 diaphragm first stage has the DFC system from the famous Mares MR22. it is light and smaller than the abyss. If you wanna metal reg, Mares has Abyss and Proton Ice.
