Can anyone tell me if the Mares V16 XTR is Nitrox compatable or if its possible to get it O2 cleaned.

fine out of the box to 40% O2, o2 clean possible yes

The general consensus in the industry, is you can use any reg you want, with no special treatment necessary, for mixes up to 40%. If just using recreational nitrox in 32 or 36 mixes.... grab any reg you want and toss it on the tank with no worries.

Now those v16 first stages are pretty sweet. I got several hundred of them from NASA... long story... And if someone is looking to replace a 1st stage, can't beat those spherical core seat reg designs for under 100 bucks.

Only problem with the kit is that it has titanium parts in the 1st stage which. Titanium does not play well with pure O2
