Mares announced a Twin Balanced Piston option last year:

It apparently keeps the ambient chamber dry in some of their piston regs. Is that correct?

Anyone know more details?

Looks like a diaphragm 1st without diaphragm.
Instead of the diaphragm it uses a rigid 'piston type' metal disc with o-ring.
The 'dry kit' uses a similar 'piston' as Apeks, just in metal.
Technically it's a diaphragm 1st as we know it from Mares.
It's for sure no classic Piston 1st......

Indeed that is what it appears to be, maybe a good idea.
